A detailed pet portrait always starts with a good reference photo. It is a crucial part of the process of doing your pet justice and creating a high quality portrait. This can be your favorite picture of your pet. If you need help with picking out a good photo, don’t worry! We will decide together.
note: it’s better to send a lot of pictures than just a few, I don’t mind, please spam my inbox.

"What if I don't have a good photo?"
A huge deal of my commissions are memorial portraits and I understand getting a suitable reference photo can be a challenge. However, I will do anything I can to make it work. My style and my medium might not work for for the photo provided but I am always willing to pick up a different medium that does work with your reference. If I still can’t manage to work with your reference I am more than happy to find you another artist who can!
Turn around time and waitlist
As soon as we decide on a reference picture you will be put on the waitlist. We will discuss how long it is going to take for your portrait to be finished through email as this varies. If you have a deadline such as a birthday or a Christmas present please make sure to contact me at a reasonable time (1-2 months beforehand). If you need your portrait to be finished within 1-2 weeks an exception can be made for a higher price.
When I start the portrait
Once I start your portrait I will keep you updated with work in progress. Although I create highly realistic portraits, art is still a creative process and I might enhance features that grab my attention. If you want adjustments to be made please communicate that with me. Understand that with this medium I can not erase or ‘paint over it’ so only small adjustments can be made.
